I will discuss the coming demise of the PPO health network, as well as the ways innovation is pushing into the supply side for employer health plans–likely altering the organization of physicians/health systems in the coming years. The impact to employer health plans will be dramatic as the PPO unbundles in favor of narrow networks, concentric/quality networks and/or hybrid “quilted” networks.
